Each year, the MRA ACT support the MP and Senators Ride – also fondly known as the “Pollies Ride”. The ride is organised annually by the Australian Motorcycle Council (of which we are a delegate) and is in about the 6th year. AMC Chair Shaun Lennard together with Greg Hirst organise it, and riders gather in front of Parliament House and the interested politicians from both sides of the house come to chat and check out the bikes. Some of the pollies who ride join us for about a 20 minute ride, to Robbos Harley Davidson in Fyshwick ( for morning tea) and then we ride back to Parliament House. This is a good media opportunity and rises the profile of motorcycle and scooter riding across the community, cities and towns in Australia.
The date for 2015 has yet to be announced but it is expected to be held in November
